Video Analytics for Remote Monitoring
Video Analytics are the next groundbreaking innovation in CCTV monitoring and external property protection. The removal of the need for external movement sensors will greatly benefit both the installers and therefore the client because of the vastly decreased installation time and need for difficult cabling of premises' perimeters. Whilst adequate lighting is required to ensure a good image is received by the camera, this method of detection is quickly becoming a cost effective alternative to the standard installation. There are several analytic systems available, many of them being developed as we speak. They are based on a video motion detection setup with algorithms to analyse potential human movement causing an alert which can then be delivered by email or text to the customer. Megapixel cameras will allow observation and analysis of a large area and a virtual zoom facility.
